New Kitten and catching up...

So... since James and I want to wait a while before we start reproducing, and filling this world with them most rambunctious and dramatic children it's ever seen.... We decided to adopt another cat. My friend Cara just couldn't take care of her kitten anymore, and I have been working on James to let us get another one for a long time, he said it was ok for us to adopt him. He's part Siamese, and his name is Fiero Jesus Naylor (the hispanic pronunciation Hay-sus). Fiero in spanish means FEROCIOUS. And here he is!!

I'm so in love with him!! He and my cat Faith have been interesting to watch. Faith is use to other cats being around so she extremely curious of him. But Fiero is use to being an only child, so there's been a lot of growling and hissing in my house lately. But thank goodness no real fights. We took Fiero into our bedroom last night to see how he'd do with sleeping with us. Oh he got REALLY comfortable!! He would lay on our heads our necks, our back, or right in between James and I. And his purr is so LOUD!!!! But at least we know he's getting much more comfortable with us, and he has now adopted us as well.

Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. It's especialy nice because my family celebrates the day before on Wednesday. Anyone is welcome to come to it, we do a big buffet style dinner and we all find spots in the living room, and we have a movie going, and we talk and laugh and we're loud and fun, we drink all different kinds of wine, soda, juices.... It's amazingly fun.
Then on Thanksgiving, we went over to James' parents house, and all his siblings came over. All except Mike, cuz they went to his wife's family's in Highland, and then obviously Teresa wasn't able to come since she lives in Texas. We all ate in the kitchen/dinning room. Dawna made the turkey and it was amazing!! It had garlic cooked right into it, and I'm obsessed with garlic, I love it!!! It was fun with all the kids there, I love all my nieces and nephews so much.

Now it's December and that means Christmas.... This year my family decided to make gifts for everyone this year. I love when we do that. It's fun to see what everyone comes up with. And James' family draws names as to who buys gifts for what family. I also had my King Family Christmas Party.... I don't know how I should approach talking about this....

Those who are close to me, know that I'm NOT close to this side of my family. It's not because I don't like them, I've just never felt apart of the family. My parents divorced before I was two, I have no solid GOOD memories of him until I was about 12. To me the Christmas Party was always something I just HAD to go to. I use to try getting along with my cousins and playing with them, but something always happened and it would be blamed all on me or my family. I shouldn't say that everyone on that side of my family was/is uninviting.... honestly it's only one members family that has always rubbed our family wrong. I won't get into it, but I find it sad that one person, or one family can make something that's suppose to be so fun for everyone make me not want to go to the party the last 4 years.... Despite the very awkwardness, and the separation of my family from... well everyone... I did enjoy myself. It's always great when I get to see my sisters all at once. Even though Alexis got stuck at work. Who knows, maybe someday I'll finally feel relaxed and welcome with my own family.
